Craving real mexican food during my lunch breaks at work I drove by and saw Fiesta. Where there has been plenty of business that have failed at remaining open past the two year mark. I have hope for Fiesta. Right away I was greeted upon walking through the doors and seated immediately during lunch they had about 4 other tables filled. Ordered a chimichunga with soup and soda from the lunch specials. They also serve every day with chips and dip fair warning the salsa is runny and very spicy! I wish they offered other types of salsa's for dipping option but don't get me wrong I like the current offering Food came out quick and everything was great! The owner also stopped by the table and talked to myself and let me know the specials for Valentines Day. Great deals throughout the week and Will be coming back just for the excellent customer service that was given.

Disappointed with the new menu. It feels like going to a fast food joint complete with disposable plates, cups and utensils. Where are my favorite dishes?

This place has a few issues to workout. Food was super bland and tasteless. We ordered a side of Guac, Quesadilla Mixtas and Chimi Mix with rice and beans. You get free chips and salsa delivered right away. Salsa is super runny and there is not salt on the chips. I was so disappointed in their guac. It was not good - it didn't have any taste. Plus it started turning brown right away so probably not fresh. There was live music which was nice but the layout of the restaurant is very strange. It's like a huge banquet room. Our server was non-existent as we sat with empty water glasses too. They did serve our food incredibly fast but probably won't be returning.

Again being from California I have some high expectations. I have found and am making a huge assumption that many MN born Mexican food critiques are based on MN experiences, and nothing else, so it hardly seems fair to get a review from a non-Latino, MN bread reviewer. That being said, reviewing comes right down to personal preferences doesn't it? I personally think Fiesta's food is quite good and the friendly staff is even better. I have not tried everything on the menu yet and yes, that space has always been a bit odd, but I like them and I like their food. I feel like I could give them feedback and the owner would listen and consider. Their shrimp ceviche is wonderful too! We'll go back as often as we can.

I grew up with different types of Mexican Food. I read the reviews by a few people on Yelp and to my surprise some reviews just struck me as odd. First of all being Mexican and Native myself each area of Mexico has different taste. Fiesta Mexican Cuisine is owned and operated by a family from the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. Some people are use to Americanized Mexican food and think it all should taste the same and if it is bland to their taste it is "muy malo" as one reviewer put it. Authentic Yucatan food is not full of salt or spicy. Authentic Yucatan food is meant to mix and the flavors of the food mesh together complimenting the dish as a whole. As far as the decor it can use a little more touching up. I was upaled when a reviewer compared it to a prom. First of all being true Mexican we love stuff like that. Get the mariachi's going and get out on the dance floor. I grew up with gaudy decor that my friends did not understand. To this Mexican it looks fine to me, feels like home. The only thing missing is a high pitched shout out Mexican style. My family is from the coastal area so this is the food I grew up with. The other fascinating and much given compliments is this family knows what GLUTEN FREE is and I thank them for that. Both my son and I have severe Celiac Disease and I am highly sensitive to cross contamination. I eat here on a regular basis and never have had any problems with cross contamination. I have had more options at Fiesta Mexican Cuisine than any other Mexican Restaurant. Their tamales are 100% gluten free. I went to El Azteca and El Pollo Loro and their tamales, sauces, and other foods are mixed with white flour. I ask everytime I eat no matter how many times I go to avoid a celiac reaction, this is how I know what is in their food. Again, I give my ratings as 5 stars for Authentic (YES I SAID AUTHENTIC) Yucatan Mexican food. If you want authentic Yucatan Peninsula food come here to Fiesta Mexican Cuisine......

Nothing exceptional, flavors were fairly bland, atmosphere is cheesy Latin music and decorations and linoleum floors. Full bar with mostly bottled beer, menu has all the usual Mexican cuisine, the couple of items we had were ordinary, ingredients seemed pre-made, not fresh or house-made. Prices seemed a bit high for food that didn't stand out ($50 for 2 people, 2 entrees, 2 beers, 2 margaritas).

Ok. So we will address the ambiance. The room is a little cold but the staff and the food are not. I am not a spicy food eater and usually avoid Mexican at all cost. However my husband is a very spicy man and I say no to trying them out. I can tell you that they will take the heat level to where you want to go without sacrificing the flavor. Another reason I avoid MN Mexican is because of the serious lack of seasonings. I don't like spicy but I like BOLD FLAVORS and this place has it in spades. From the personable waitress to the food selections. Let the staff convince you to try the house special margarita and you won't be disappointed. As far as the room décor ... ENJOY!! While we were there they had some couples come in to practice tango and it was a free show with dinner. One of the best experiences I have had in the Metro and I have been to many downtown upscale places. TRY IT

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
